When you make the final decision to earn money online, you are taking a positive step. However, do not move forward without a plan. You must sit down and map out your goals. However, you must take it a step further. Yes, it is great to set goals. However, if you only set goals that you are certain that you can attain, you are selling yourself short.

One of the words people rely on far to much is “should”. They say that they, “should’ do something, “but” something else. This is the structure of an excuse laden sentence. Individuals realize that they are supposed to do something, but let themselves off of the hook by coming up with a reason that they can live with as to why they will not do that something. Perhaps, an individual “should” engage in certain marketing techniques, “but” will not because they take too much time. However, rather than accepting that there is not enough time to engage in proven internet marketing techniques, these individuals should be finding solutions, such as time saving software.

Of course, everyone is facing different circumstances. Within those circumstances, I am sure that every single person can find at least a semi-plausible excuse as to why they cannot do this or that. What these individuals to not realize is that they have the capacity to directly affect how their circumstances effect them. They can do this by changing their response to their circumstances, and taking action to create their ideal situation.

One time when I went to go and buy a car, I remember the salesperson saying to me, “What do you need to have happen in order to make a decision to buy today?” Can you see what this person was trying to do? They were trying to get me to reveal my excuses so that they could provide the solution one by one. Once they provide the solutions, there is nothing that I can say is holding me back from making the purchase.

Now I want to ask you, “Which goals would you set if you had a high degree of confidence that you could achieve them?” Forget about what you think you can do right now. What I am asking is what you would want to achieve if you could be essentially assured success? This is how you should shape your goals.

I was watching something on CNN the other day regarding the tennis player Venus Williams, and a book which she just wrote. In the book, she interviewed people at the top of their field, looking for commonalities. One of the most profound commonalities which she uncovered, was the fact that regardless of the field, these highly successful individuals were of the opinion that if you have not experienced failure or a major setback your endeavors, you are underachieving. So what are these individuals all saying? They are saying that unless you push yourself to your limits, you will never know how great you can be.

Having said this, apply it to your current situation where you have set a goal to earn money online. Sure, you can set a goal to earn $3500 per month, knowing that this is something that you will attain. However, is this what you really want? Will you be able to retire early making $3500 per month on the internet? Probably not. Hence, look at what you want, and life style that you dream of, and set your goals accordingly. Perhaps you want to earn $1 million per year. This works out to be approximately $83,333 per month. Make this your goal and do everything in your power to achieve this goal. If you fall short, chances are that you will be earning far more than $3,500 per month. Set your goals in accordance with your wishes, and go after them.

Make it clear to your readers that they can automatically receive posts to their email by subscribing to your RSS feed.

3. Always bring consistent exposure to your blog. It is important that you submit your blog to as many blog directories as possible so that you have a readership. Whenever you post in a forum relevant to your niche market, refer to your blog in your signature line. Take consistent efforts to market your blog and make your niche aware of the fact that your frequently post valuable information.
